As a company KingPin Events feel strongly about giving something back to the community dedicate a full evening at our Winter Wonderland Event where we donated around £50,000 of tickets to local charities. At this annual event families enjoy a fun filled evening and are able to make some lasting special memories with their loved ones.

Bury Downs Syndrome Support Group
Thank you for doing a Charity evening, everyone had a fantastic time, it's easy to go on rides several times as it wasn't too busy. It was really clean and had well maintained rides and facilities, we were even allowed to bump the bumper cars as they were well protected. Even at full price I feel it is very good value for money and the circus stars were amazing.
Thank you so much everyone had a wonderful evening. Once again thank you all very much for the wonderful donation of the tickets!
Trafford Deaf Children's Society
On behalf of the families from Trafford Deaf Children's Society who visited Winter Wonderland on Monday may I say a huge thank-you for hosting such a brilliant charity evening and giving them such an amazing experience! The children had an absolutely fantastic time made extra special by discovering that Father Christmas himself and his elf were deaf too! They were able to fully enjoy Elsa and Anna with the signing elf on stage with them and the huge range of rides and stalls and games were mesmerising for them! The feedback I have had from the families has all been that the children enjoyed it very much and personally I thought it was well organised, accessible, magical and the cheerful and talented staff made it an evening to remember! Many thanks for allocating us the tickets and for setting aside a whole evening for charities - it really was appreciated and made a big difference to our families.
Time Saving Hero
Everyone who attended as part of The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity had a wonderful time. We have spoken to one of the Mum's that we support, Charlene LeBlanc who attended with her daughter Ava.
Charlene said: "We all had a fantastic time at Winter Wonderland. Ava loved all the different rides she could go on and she really didn't want to leave. We also enjoyed watching the Ice Princess show and afterwards Ava got a chance to meet her favourite princesses, Anna and Elsa. We'll definitely be going back next year."
Dawn Fidler, co-founder of the charity added: "It was amazing to be able to attend the charity preview of the Winter Wonderland this year. There is so much to see and do, and all our families had an amazing time. All the staff were so helpful, and it was lovely to see that everyone was fully included and made to feel welcome. The attention to detail was brilliant and our families have made some very happy memories together at this special time of year. Thank you for including us, we all had a magical time."
St Rocco's Hospice
Thank you so much for kindly donating tickets to St. Rocco's Hospice for the Winter Wonderland. Tickets were used by some of the patients from our Day Therapy Centre and their young families, a family who are involved with counselling and Family Support, as well as a family who are currently using our Hospice at Home service. Some of the nursing staff, therapists, and housekeeping staff were also able to enjoy an evening out with their families.
Below is a quote from one of the people who attended;
"The kids really enjoyed it and Santa was great, the presents off Santa were good quality and the kids loved seeing the reindeer! There was no queue for the rides and they just had a really lovely evening – thanks again!"
"Merry Christmas from everyone at St. Rocco's – thank you again for your kindness and generosity."
West Lancashire Community High School
Fantastic people at Winter Wonderland, I would like to thank you for the amazing experience you have given our disabled pupils and their families. I don't think you can fully appreciate how you have touched sooooooo many people's hearts and given them memories they will treasure for ever. I have been inundated with responses from their time spent with you and it has filled my heart with joy to know how much they got from your generosity. I would like to wish a seasonal greeting from myself and on behalf of the pupils, parents, carers and staff of West Lancashire Community High School.
Once Upon a Smile
Our families were lucky enough to receive 80 tickets for the Winter Wonderland and it was a magical experience for all. Christmas is a very difficult time for many of our bereaved families and this evening brought some much needed smiles!
Wigan & Leigh Young Carers
I was privileged to escort some Wigan and Leigh Young carers to this event kindly assisted by the giving of free tickets from the organisers. The whole experience for the children was phenomenal some because of their caring duties had never been to such an event.
There was so much on offer it was impossible to get around to see everything, the variety of many attractions was mind boggling from Stage Shows, Circus, Bronco Rides and many, many more.
I am sure the children will remember it for many years, the joy and excitement on their faces said it all.
Young child lost their coat – staff went out of their way to find it – Brilliant evening – thank you!
On behalf of the kids Thank you So much for giving them an unforgettable day of wonder and allowing some me time for them.
The children said:
• "It was awesome don't get any better than that"
• "Can we go next year, - please"
Deafness Support Network and the Richard Sharp Sensory Project
Dear Tammy, Billy and all the wonderful team at the Winter Wonderland Manchester,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and all your team for the generosity and kindness that you have shown to Deafness Support Network and the Richard Sharp Sensory Project.
All of the people who attended the charity event at the Winter Wonderland had a brilliant night, they especially appreciated the signing Santa Claus and signing choir. It made the event so much more accessible and special for all of the sign language users who attended.
We would also like to thank you for the opportunity to have a stand at your event to raise awareness of our New Project the Richard Sharp Sensory Project and for the £836.40 raised through ticket sales and £170 raised in donations throughout the event. We had some great feedback from people who may wish to access the service in the future. We also had some great support from celebrities at the event such as Richard Cadell and the Sooty Show, Wes Brown and Kolo Toure. We hope that we can work with you again and aim to make our stand better and more successful for 2015.
With Kindest Regards and Best Wishes,
Wendy Steadman on Behalf of Deafness Support Network and the Richard Sharp Sensory Project
Once Upon a Smile
A message from one of our families:
"I have not seen our boys smile like that since their Dad died last year. This was the first time since my husband’s death that we have been out as a family, although it was difficult for us without him, it was one of the best evenings we have ever experienced. Thank you so much for giving us something to smile about during the festive period."
Thank you to Winter Wonderland Manchester for allowing 7 of our families to visit their amazing indoor 'Christmas Theme Park' last Friday. All the families had a wonderful time on all of the rides, meeting Anna and Elsa, seeing the Sooty show and the Circus and of course... meeting Santa himself! It was an action packed evening. Thanks again, Winter Wonderland is highly recommended by us!
Leisure for Autism
We’re so grateful to Winter Wonderland for staging this special charity evening. The youngsters that we support are all autistic and struggle to cope with crowds, queues and “babble”. The special evening meant that they were able to enjoy an activity that most other youngsters would take for granted and the feedback from their parents has been universally positive. I attended the event with my own son and he had a wonderful time – I really can’t thank you enough, on a personal level and on behalf of the families that we support. John Corker Chairman, Leisure for Autism
The feedback we've had from the Charity evening has been amazing. The experience you gave the families from our organisation has been a once in a lifetime acceptance, understanding and inclusion for many and for tall the chance to take part in something as a family without being judged or belittled.
Without exception all of the children had the most fantastic time and everybody thoroughly appreciated the level of customer service, empathy and patience the staff and organisers had.
From an administrative point of view all the representatives of the Event Management Team were courteous, polite, friendly and helpful - even managing to sort out an 11th hour ticketing trauma!
Thank you so much for allocating us some tickets and so allowing some of our families to visit a wonderful event that would otherwise have been impossible for them to manage. Steph Sherratt Breaking Barriers NW
Thank you very much for having us, it was a fantastic evening and very special for our families.
Children who grow up in troubled families where there is violence and abuse including additional complexities such as parental mental I'll health, low income etc can lack the experiences and opportunities that their peers enjoy: for example, going out on trips and treats, safe spaces to play, holidays! These Children are also at risk of further isolation and social exclusion and often have limited aspirations and hope for a brighter future.
Sadly, often the families we serve cannot afford to attend events like Winter Wonderland or there are other obstacles such as parental ill health that prevents them going outside there home environment and therefore the children we support have never been on outings that other children may take for granted like going to the cinema or the beach.
Therefore, you can imagine how grateful we are to the Winter Wonderland Team for offering such a unique opportunity to The Children's Society Resolve Service and I can sincerely say that all the children that did attend thoroughly enjoyed themselves and I know that the trip out to Winter Wonderland on Friday 12th December 2014 will be a positive happy experience that will remain ever etched in their memories for all the right reasons.
However I believe the best way to offer our thanks is by telling you some of the things our Children said after the event (The next week was taken up of sessions just talking about the evening!)
"It was the best day of my life!"
"My best ride was on super bob as it went very fast, I didn't like the ghost house, I kept my eyes closed the whole ride!"
"Elsa had her picture taken with me! I can't wait to tell Ali!!!"
Thank you once again for an amazing evening. Melanie Brandwood The Children's Society Greater Manchester Hub
St. Monica's Primary School
A huge thank you to Kingpin events for sprinkling some seasonal joy by donating four tickets to their Winter Wonderland event in Manchester. It was very generous and thoughtful of you to support your local primary school's Christmas fundraising event and help to raise valuable money to enhance our children's education.
The Winter Wonderland looks like a fantastic event and good fun for all the family. Whoever wins this raffle prize is very lucky!"
Friends of St Monica's (PTA), Appleton
We made a donation of Winter Wonderland tickets to be auctioned off to raise money for a little girl called Tehyah.
KingPin Events ltd donated tickets for Winter Wonderland that were auctioned off to raise funds to help Cheka School. Nicola Renshaw, a volunteer for Cheka School has kept us up to date with her volunteering and how the funds were used.
"Our big achievement with the money was to introduce a new school menu – currently half a banana for breakfast & porridge (pancake mix) for lunch. We have enough to give them fruit, rice, beans and veg every day for the next twelve months which will make a big difference to health.
If you’re on twitter or facebook you can follow updates at @ChekaSchool"
Our chosen charity for Winter Wonderland 2013 was Deafness Support Network who are raising money for the Richard Sharp Sensory Library Project - A multi sensory room for those who are blind and deaf.
KingPin Events helped by inviting our visitors to make a donation during their ticket purchase. We would like to take this opportunity of thanking all those who made a donation for such a worth cause and a total of £512.00 was handed over to Deafness Support Network in Janurary. Thank you!
The following is a list of charities that benefitted from our donation of tickets to the charity evening at Winter Wonderland.
